New Rules added for 2002: full faced helmet - fire suit required for all pullers - entry fee is $15 for Hot Rods with $2 going to points - All classes will rotate with the kids stock always being first then will rotate sksc & skhr classes
1. ALL JUDGES DECISIONS FINAL: On any point of controversy, any disagreement
will result in disqualification. Vulgar language or use of alcohol beverages
will be grounds for dismissal and disqualification.
2. All tractors/trucks will draw for pull positions. All tractors/trucks
will re-pull in order. If the tractor/truck is not ready when number is
called, that tractor/truck will pull when ready or within five (5) minutes
after the last tractor/truck has pulled. If you are one of the last two
tractors/trucks to pull, you will have ten (10) minute time limit. The
time will be used and kept at the announcers table. The announcer will
keep up with the time and up-date the time remaining.
3. Maximum of one (1) pulls per class. Tractor/truck may be enter only
one (1) time per class. Tractor/truck may enter class as long as re-pulls
has not started yet.
4. Driver will have two (2) attempts to move the sled. Must pull past
the fifty (75) foot mark to start an official pull.
5. Distance to be measured electronically. The meter measurement will
be final.
6. The track will be graded between pulls when possible.
7. Weight(s) must be changed before hitch height is checked. You will be
allowed to change a MAX. of 25 pds on the track after a false start.
8. Any tractor/truck that is not operational for the first pull may
forfeit that pull, but will be allowed to make a re-pull.
9. All persons, other than drivers and judges, are to be off the track
before any tractor/truck pulls. Sled weight will be determined by the sled
owner by the third (3rd) tractor/truck pulled in each class.
10. In case of sled weight change, the tractor/truck will be allowed
to shift or change weight, but will need to re-weight and have the hitch
re-checked.
11. The first official puller may accept or reject that pull, but must
tell the track official before pulling off the track. If he/she rejects
their pull they will drop to last position.
12. Weights or fuel can't be moved or added after leaving the scales.
13. Rules committee will reserve the right to refuse to let any individual
hook to their sled for any reason.
14. Each puller must be in seat and have helmet when being weighted
in.
15. Protest: Must be made by owner/driver in the same class.
A. Money must be put up front before winners are announced.
B. Tractor may pull under protest in all classes.
C. Protest fee will be one hundred fifty dollars ($150.00) for
engine tear-down in the hot rod classes and two hundred dollars ($200.00)
in the truck class, and twenty five dollars($25.00) in the single cylinder
classes which consist of heads and intake. protest fee will
be twenty five ($25.00) dollars for the carburetors only. Single cylinder can pay ($5.00) five dollars to check top (3) three tractors , which will
include fuel, hitch, carb. and weight. The fee will go to the points club (SKSC).
D. Tear-down will be done after the pull is over.
E. Only one (1) owner or driver and one (1) technician person
allowed.
F. The hitch, weight, length, or width can be checked at any
time (no fee).
G. If you refuse the protest , you can't pull in that class until
your tractor/truck has been torn down that night. If not torn down, you
can no longer pull in that class the rest of the year. You can, however,
move up a class.
16. The official measuring and checking devices have been approved
by the S.K.H.R. Rules Committee and will be the only official devices used
to check tractors/trucks with.
SAFETY RULES:
1. Helmets (Full faced), firesuits and fire extinguishers are mandatory and cannot be taken
off as weights.
2. Wheelie bars or coasters are required on hot rods and must be capable
of supporting tractor and driver.
3. All drivers must be capable of operating tractor/truck on track
including starting, stopping, and forward control.
4. All tractors must be equipped with a break-away kill switch.
5. All tractors must have rear fenders.
6. Dead-man throttle on every tractor. Dead-man throttle must return
to idle position when released.

DISQUALIFICATION: (FLAG-MAN'S DECISION)
1. Any act or manner of driving which would cause bodily injury to the
driver or to the spectators.
2. Weights falling on the track during the pull. A pull being from
the fifty (75) foot mark until the flag-man signals that the pull is complete.
3. Weights in a dangerous position on tractor/truck. Weight must be
securely fastened.
4. Driver must have one (1) hand on the steering wheel at all times.
5. Driver must remain in seat of tractor/truck..
6. Driver must not touch or go over boundary line. Tractors/trucks
will be disqualified for that pull only.
POINTS RULES
Listed below is the points breakdown that will be used for the 2002 pulling season. Points will be counted on the truck/tractor and not the driver(s) in each class. In the event the truck/tractor is sold during the season, points will be transferred in this manner, 50% of accumulated points will go with the truck/tractor and 50% will remain with the previous owner(s). Membership fee will be $20.00 which is mandatory. At the end of the season, as determined by the sled owner and weather conditions, the top five (5) positions will be awarded in each class as per points earned during the 2002 pulling season.

TRACK RULES:

A rules committee will be appointed for each season. Any grievances should be directed to this committee. Their decision will be final, over-ruling the track judge and the sled owners.

3. Maximum of (1) pull per class. If a class has (3) three entries or less, then they will have a pull and a re-pull. The kids class will always have (2) pulls, with the age limit being 12 and under. The payback for the kids class will be 1st thru 5th place, all other classes 1st thru 3rd.
4. Driver will have (2) two attempts to move sled. Must pull (75) fifty feet to start an official pull.
5. Engine must be running before entering track.
6. Distance to be measured electronically on sled.
7. The track will be graded between pulls when possible.
8. Sled weight will be determined by sled owner up to the (3rd) third tractor pulled in each class .
9.
In case of sled weight change, the tractor will be allowed to shift or
change weight, but must re-weigh before pulling.
10. The first official puller may accept or reject their pull. If he/she chooses to reject their pull, then they will be the (3rd) third puller of their class.
11. Drivers may change gears while pulling, if they remain in motion.
12. PULL-THRU : Only tractors with a pull- thru on the sled will be allowed to pull a re-weighted sled to determine positions.
13. PROTEST: Must be made by owner or driver of the same class. (A) Money must be put up before the next class starts. (B.) A tractor may pull under protest in all classes. (C) Protest fee will be ($25.00) twenty-five dollars for engine tear-down. If found illegal, puller will lose (1/2) one halve of their points and their winnings.(D.) Tear-down will be done after pull is over. Fuel, weight, and hitch must be checked at time of protest.(E) Participants in same class can pay ($5.00) five dollars to check top (3) three tractors , which will include fuel, hitch, carb. and weight. The fee will go to the points club.
14. Each sled owner shall reserve the right to refuse to let any individual to hook to their sled for any reason.
15.Once a month, all tractors will be put in a hat for a drawing. Whichever tractor is drawn, will have to pull off head.
SKSC SAFETY RULES:
1. DISQUALIFICATIONS: (Flag-man Decision is final)
(A) Any act or manner of driving which would cause bodily injury to the driver or spectators.
(B) Weights falling on the track during pull.( A pull being from the time the tractor is hooked to the sled until the flag-man
signals that the pull is complete.)
(C) Weights in a dangerous position on tractor. All weights must be securely fastened.
(D) Driver must have (1) hand on the steering wheel at all times.
(E) Tractor must not touch or go over boundary line.
2. Helmets mandatory in all classes.
3. Wheelie bars or coasters required. Must be capable of supporting tractor and driver. Must have brace from wheel to
upper part of tractor.
4. The 8hp. Mod.,10hp Mod., and 30 cub. must be equipped with a break-away kill switch.
5 All flat-head type engines must have a head strap.
6. Dead-man throttle mandatory on every tractor. (Dead-man meaning, throttle must return to idle position when released)
7. Fire extinguishers mandatory in 10hp.,Mod., and 30 cub classes. All other classes are optional.
TRACTOR
DESIGN RULES:
1. Hitch will not exceed (13) thirteen inches in height at stationary point. One (1) hitch only. Minimum 1 ¼ inch hole for chain to hook. Hitch must be (6 ) six inches from center of rear axle, and be stationary.
2. No home-made frames. Must be factory frames, but can be extended to change length. Garden style rear-end. Total length (center of rear axle to the furthermost point ),cannot exceed 68”.
3. Tractors in all classes may run with cut or shaved tires.
4. No dual wheels or chains.
5. Tire size 18” 9.50 x 8”. No ATV tires.
6. No more than 8x10.
7. Locked rear-ends allowed.
8.Hoods mandatory.
9.Rear weight bracket,15” from back of rear tire.
ENGINE
DESIGN RULES:
1. Motor bore not to exceed .060 oversize +/- .010 as per engine make and model in the 10hp.Mod, 30cub., and 8hp Mod. Classes
2. Pistons, rings, rods, valves, cam, springs, lifters, crankshaft, oil pump, ignition points and heads are wild in 8hp. Mod., 10hp. Mod., and 30 cub. classes. All other classes are stock.
3. No tilted or angled valves in any motor. Enlarging or polishing ports will be allowed.
4. Stroke on crankshaft cannot be altered in any way, as per engine make and model. (A) Stroke measurement +/- .015 on all engines should be measured as length that the piston travels in the cylinder. If measured from the top of the block, the deck height should be subtracted.(Deck height being the distance above the piston until the top of the block is reached).
5. Crankcase vent systems allowed.
6. O.E.M. type flywheels, no machine work to alter or lighten in any way, except drilling or adding weight to balance. Kohler part # 237893 prohibited on all engines larger than 10hp. Steel fly wheels allowed.
7. O.E.M. type magneto and coil only. No high performance types. No external resister types.
8. Head straps in 8hp.Mod., 10hp. Mod. and 30 cub.. classes. Strap must go to frame.
9. Carbs and fuel “wild” in 10hp.Mod, 30cub. and 8hp.Mod classes

CARBURETOR RULES:
1. O.E.M. type carbs only.
2 . Choke shaft and butterfly may be removed.
3. MAX. VENTURA SIZE: 8hp. Stock 7.50 inches.
4. All air jets in place.
5. All bolts on carb. And standoff pipe must be tight.

ENGINE DESIGN RULES (8hp.)
1. Motor bore shall not exceed .030 +/- as per engine make and model.
2. Stroke on crankshaft cannot be altered in any way, as per engine make and model.
3. Crank case vent system allowed.
4.O.E.M type flywheels, no machine work to alter or lighten in any way, except drilling or adding weight to balance.
Stock flywheel keys only. Heads on engine must be stock.
5..Valve springs open.
SKSC
CARBURETOR RULES (8hp.)
1. Standoff pipes permitted. Maximum size (3) three inches from flange to flange.
2. No holes permitted in standoff pipe.
3. No alcohol, alcohol mixture or nitro mixture to be used in engines. Fuel may be checked at any pull. Specific gravity not
to exceed .750.
POINTS RULES:
(EVERY PULLER MUST PAY MEMBERSHIP)
Listed below is the points breakdown that will be used for the 2001-2002 pulling seasons. Points will be counted on tractor, not the driver in each class. In the event the tractor is sold during the season, points will be transferred in this manner, 50% of accumulated points will go with tractor, and 50% will remain with previous owner.
Each participant may qualify in as many classes as desired. To qualify for points, participant must purchase membership in S.K.S.C. The cost will be ($10.00) ten dollars per class.
At the end of the pulling season, as determined by the sled owner and weather conditions . The top (5) five positions will be awarded in each class as per points earned each pulling season. Must attend at least 50% of points pulls to qualify.
We the undersigned sled owners and rules committee do agree that these rules have been adopted and will be the only rules by which a person can use to build a tractor for use in pulling. Variations and amendments to the rules will be handled thru the rules committee
SKSC Rules Committee

4. Chains must be covered on top, can have a suitable inspection hole.
5. Tractors in all classes may run with cut or shaved tires.
6. Over-all length of tractor shall not exceed eight (8) feet, this
will include all weights. Wheelie bars and any safety devices will be excluded.
7. The width shall not exceed five (5) feet at the widest point.
8. No duel wheels or chains.
9. Tire size not exceed 12x12x26 inches.
10. 750cc maximum motorcycle engine only, can bore .30 over-size, .008
clearance. OEM type pistons only. Stock stroke.
11. Rear-ends allowed.
12. Carburetors only.
13. Weight - 1200 pounds.

weights. Wheel base can be whatever as long as tractor is not over eight
(8) feet. Wheelie bars and safety devices excluded.
5. Tractors in all classes may run shaved or cut tires.
6. No duel tires or chains. Tire size not to exceed 12x12x26 inches.
7 The width may not exceed five (5) feet at the widest point.
8. Nitrous Oxide System (NOS) will not be allowed.
9. Chains must be covered on top, Can have suitable inspection hole.
10. Weight - 1250 pounds.

the center of the rear axle. Weight may not exceed more than ten (10) inches
past rear tires.

3800 Pds Mini-Trucks: Design Rules
1.Trucks must maintain factory appearances.
2. Factory frame only.
3.Wheel base to be a maximum of one hundred eighteen (118) inches
from the center of the front spindle to the center of the rear axle.
4. Tire size to be a maximum of 31x10.50x15, D.O.T. regulation, no
cut or shaved tires allowed.
5. One (1) ton rear differential maximum. One (1) transmission, four
(4) speed maximum. automatic allowed or automatic with four (4) speed.
6.HITCH: Must be stationary in all directions; Length - center axle
housing to back inside of hook hole thirty-nine and one quarter (39-1/4)inches.HEIGHT-
twenty-four (24) inches maximum; no "L" shaped hitches; anchor point of
front hitch pin thirty-six (36) inches maximum.' hole three (3) inches
minimum, one (1) inch minimum around hole.
7. Length of truck from center of rear axle to front of weights not
to exceed one-hundred sixty (160) inches, rear weights must not extend
over thirty-nine and one-quarter (39-1/4) inches from the center of rear
axle.
8. Hoods mandatory.
9. Cab must be on original front mounts.
10. Engine under the hood, rear exhaust port must be in front of windshield
if firewall is cut must be shielded to protect the driver.
3800 pds Mini-Trucks: Engine Design
1 ENGINE - 366 cid maximum, small block V-8's only; 2 or 4 barrel
cast iron intakes only; porting work optional.
2. Dome piston motors allowed hydraulic cam shafts only.
3. Flat top piston motors allowed solid or hydraulic cam shafts.
4 No roller cam shafts allowed
5. Roller rockers are optional.
6. CARBURETOR: 2 barrel 500 cfm Holley carburetor only, NOT to be altered
in any way other than to rejet. NO horizontal holes in carburetor spacer
plate. Spacer plate 1-1/2" maximum. All bolts to be on carburetor and intake
must be tight, can remove choke plate.
7. Factory OEM cast iron head only, porting and polishing allowed.
NO aftermarket heads allowed.
8. Any battery powered ignition allowed.
9. Electric fan only.
10. Exhaust headers may be turn up, down or rearward (extending behind
the driver).
11.Pump fuel or racing gas only. Specific gravity not to exceed .750.
12. NO alcohol or nitrous oxide allowed.
3800 pds Mini-Trucks Additional Safety Rules
1. Must have a kill switch for the electric fuel pump and ignition system.
2. Spark plug shields are mandatory.
3. Battery must be enclosed and cannot be located in the cab.
4. Axle covers are mandatory.
5. Front windshield mandatory, other glasses are optional.
6. No fuel tanks or fuel lines allowed in the drivers compartment.
7. Fire extinguishers are mandatory.
8. Wheelie bars must be mounted two (2) inches from the back tread
of the tire, ten (10) inches off of the ground; Five (5) inch square pad,
no rollers or wheels; each wheelie bar must be able to support the weight
of the truck.
9. Shields are required around u-joints every three (3) feet, they
are to be at least six (6) inches long and have a maximum spacing of two
(2) inches around u-joints, shield thickness to be a minimum of three-eighths
(3/8) inch aluminum or one-quarter (1/4) inch steel.
10. Safety bell housing and transmission blanket or flex plate shield
must be sfi approved.
