IMMIGRANTS, NOT AMERICANS NEED TO ADAPT

People are getting tired of this nation worrying whether we are offending some individual or their culture. Since the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks on America, we have experienced a surge of patriotism by the majority of Americans. However, the dust from the attacks had barely settled when the "politically correct" crowd began complaining about the possibility that our patriotism was offending others.

We are not against immigration, nor do we hold a grudge against anyone who is seeking a better way of life by coming to America. Our population is almost entirely comprised of descendants of immigrants. However, there are a few things that those who have recently come to our country, & apparently some born here, need to understand . This idea of America being a multi-cultured community has served only to dilute our sovereignty & our nations identity. As Americans, we have our own culture, our own society, our own language & our own lifestyle. This culture has been developed over centuries of struggles, trails, & victories by millions of men & women who have fought for this freedom.

We speak ENGLISH, not Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society, learn the language!

"IN GOD WE TRUST" is our national motto. This is not some Christian, right wing, political slogan. We adopted this motto because Christian men & women, on Christian principles, founded this nation, & this is clearly documented. It is certainly appropriate to display it on our walls or our schools. If God offends you, then WE suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home , because God is part of our culture.

If you would realize just how selfish you are & that you are doing the same thing that you're complaining about, you say that it violates your rights, what about the rights of all the people that you take their civil liberties away from them just to make yourself  happy. Let us explain a few of the rights that you forget, YOU have the right to turn your head if you don't want to look at it, You have the right to put your fingers in your ears if you don't want to hear it, You have the right to leave if it offends you, what you forget is that WE don't have our rights to look at it , hear it or do it because you don't exercise all of your rights, so the next time YOU complain about your rights being offended take a second to think of all the rights of the people that you offend by your selfishness.

If Stars & Stripes offends you, or you don't like Uncle Sam, then you should seriously consider a move to another part of this planet. We are happy with our culture & have no desire to change, & we really don't care how you did things where you came from. This is OUR COUNTRY, our land, & our lifestyle. Our First Amendment gives every citizen the right to express their opinion & we allow you every opportunity to do so. But once you are done complaining, whining, & griping about our flag, our pledge, our nations motto, or our way of life, We highly encourage you to take advantage of one other great American freedom, THE RIGHT TO LEAVE.

Pledge of Allegiance By Red Skelton

The late Red Skelton tells the story of his teacher, Mr. Laswell, who explains the meaning of the Pledge of Allegiance... The words that we have come to know and love shall
NEVER be changed if we stick together as one.
We are and shall always be "One Nation Under God"...
May God Bless you and keep you well, for he is the being of all of us, and I for one am Proud to say his name each time I recite the pledge...
Amanda:)

Please listen to the words... feel them, say them, and keep them forever in your heart!

"I've been listening to you boys and girls recite the Pledge of Allegiance all semester and it seems as though it is becoming monotonous to you. If I may, may I recite it and try to explain to you the meaning of each word?"

~I~
me, an individual, a committee of one.

~Pledge~
dedicate all of my worldly goods to give without self pity.

~ Allegiance~
my love and my devotion.

~To the flag~
our standard, Old Glory, a symbol of freedom. Wherever she waves, there's respect because your loyalty has given her a dignity that shouts freedom is everybody's job!

~United ~
that means that we have all come together.

~States~
individual communities that have united into 48 great states. Forty-eight individual communities with pride and dignity and purpose; all divided with imaginary boundaries, yet united to a common purpose, and that's love for country.

~And to the republic~
a state in which sovereign power is invested in representatives chosen by the people to govern. And government is the people and it's from the people to the leaders, not from the leaders to the people.

~For which it stands, one nation~
one nation, meaning "so blessed by God"

~Indivisible~
incapable of being divided.

~With liberty~
which is freedom; the right of power to live one's own life without threats, fear or some sort of retaliation.

~And Justice~
the principle or quality of dealing fairly with others.

~For all~
For all...which means, boys and girls, it's as much your country as it is mine.

And now boys & girls let me hear you recite
"The Pledge Of Allegiance"

I pledge allegiance to the flag
Of the United States of America
And to the Republic for which it stands
One nation indivisible
With liberty & justice for all.

Since I was a small boy, two states have been added to our country and two words have been added to the
Pledge of Allegiance...

UNDER GOD

Wouldn't it be a pity if someone said that is a prayer and that would be eliminated from schools too?

May God Bless All Of Us!
